Description
A flaw was found in httpd. The inbound connection is not closed when it fails to discard the request body, which may expose the server to HTTP request smuggling.
Mitigation
There are currently no known mitigations for this issue.

Differences in the impact to Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability between Red Hat score and NVD one are due to the fact that HTTP request smuggling vulnerabilities are context dependent and their impact can greatly vary based on the specific infrastructure, application and configurations. Difference in the Scope metric is because the vulnerable component is httpd while the impacted component is any application who is attacked as a result of the HTTP request smuggling.

An attacker could create HTTP messages to exploit a number of weaknesses including 1) the message can trick the web server to associate a URL with another URL's webpage and caching the contents of the webpage (web cache poisoning attack), 2) the message can be structured to bypass the firewall protection mechanisms and gain unauthorized access to a web application, and 3) the message can invoke a script or a page that returns client credentials (similar to a Cross Site Scripting attack).
