CVE-2018-15727

Description

From CVE.org

Grafana 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x before 4.6.4 and 5.x before 5.2.3 allows authentication bypass because an attacker can generate a valid "remember me" cookie knowing only a username of an LDAP or OAuth user.

Mitigation

As per upstream (https://grafana.com/blog/2018/08/29/grafana-5.2.3-and-4.6.4-released-with-important-security-fix)

* Switch to authentication mechanism other than LDAP or OAuth
* Grafana should be isolated from public networks

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
