CVE-2013-7421
Description
A flaw was found in the way the Linux kernel's Crypto subsystem handled automatic loading of kernel modules. A local user could use this flaw to load any installed kernel module, and thus increase the attack surface of the running kernel.
Statement
This issue did not affect the versions of the kernel as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5, and 6.
This issue affects the versions of the Linux as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Red Hat Product Security has rated this issue as having Low security impact. A future update may address this issue. For additional information, refer to the Issue Severity Classification: https://access.redhat.com/security/updates/classification/.
Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Integrity,Confidentiality,Availability,Access Control,Other
Technical Impact: Gain Privileges or Assume Identity; Read Application Data; Modify Application Data; Execute Unauthorized Code or Commands; Other
Exposing critical functionality essentially provides an attacker with the privilege level of the exposed functionality. This could result in the modification or exposure of sensitive data or possibly even execution of arbitrary code.
