The Linux kernel through 3.7.9 allows local users to obtain sensitive information about keystroke timing by using the inotify API on the /dev/ptmx device.
Statement
This issue affects the versions of the Linux kernel as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6, and Red Hat Enterprise MRG 2. Red Hat Product Security has rated this issue as having Low security impact. This issue is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates.
