After FFU 16.2 to 17.1, Ceph Grafana dashboard failed to start due to incorrect dashboard configuration

Issue

After fast forward upgrade from 16.2 to 17.1, Ceph Grafana dashboard failed to start due to incorrect dashboard configuration

This is because a new suffix is introduced into the hostnames and the dashboard configuration needs to be updated with them:

mgr/dashboard/openstack001.pgrfth/server_addr 192.168.3.5
mgr/dashboard/openstack002.erguqv/server_addr 192.168.3.22
mgr/dashboard/openstack003.bmoiqs/server_addr 192.168.3.36

While the dashboard config still has:

mgr/dashboard/openstack001/server_addr 192.168.3.5
mgr/dashboard/openstack002/server_addr 192.168.3.22
mgr/dashboard/openstack003/server_addr 192.168.3.36

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform 16.2 to 17.1 Upgrade
  • Red Hat Ceph Storage 4 to 5 Upgrade
  • Director-deployed Ceph Dashboard
