Rearrange or remove context menu entry in GNOME

Using RHEL 6.10, is there a way to rearrange entries in the context menu or remove an entry altogether without installing anything? Perhaps editing a xmodmap entry or editing a config file? I don't know how many times I've mistakenly clicked "Clean Up By Name" and all the desktop icons get rearranged... so annoying :(
