SPICE slow redraw rate with Remote Viewer on OS X

I am able to successfully initiate a SPICE session from a browser in OS X. (https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/93613) One of the known issues that I am currently experiencing is a slow redraw rate. Has anyone found a way to resolve this or have any suggestions as to what I can do to try resolve/improve this issue?

I am using OS X 10.8.3 and Remote Viewer 0.3.1.
