switch from KDE to GNOME for RHEL 6.3 ?

Hi,

 

How do I switch from KDE to GNOME for RHEL 6.3 ?

I added "/etc/sysconfig/desktop" with

[root@RHEL6_3 sysconfig]# cat desktop
DESKTOP="GNOME"
DISPLAYMANAGER="GNOME"

to no avail.

I also checked out RH KB's such as : https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/6641

to no avail....I don't know why it comes up with KDE ? BTW, I already have installed "X Window System" and "GNOME Desktop Enviroment" group. Have rebooted the box a few times to no avail.

I know it sounds dumb, but it still trumps me :-(

Hope someone can point me in right direction.
