Use of multicast networking on VMs?

We need to retire some old servers distributing both software and video streams trough multicast, and naturally would prefer to put these in RHEV. Are there any challenges with multicast networking within RHEV?

I know about the document https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/articles/216453 , but it's quite unclear to me how it applies to RHEV 3.x, and what kind of performance/latency impacts there are. Anyone?
