  • Installing RHEL5.4 on Windows 2008 Hyper-V- install hangs

    Posted on

I am installing RHEL5.4 on a vhd and machine of a Windows 2008 Hyper-V 64bit server.  I have the install successful through loading the initial software, settings, and configs, then the screen says reboot.  The system reboots and I get the following:

Red Hat nash version 51.19.6 starting

reading all physical volumes.  This may take a while...

Found volume group "VolGroup00" using metadata type lvm2

2 logical volume(s) in vilume group "VolGroup00" now active

I have let this sit for over an hour.

    What is wrong?

During the installation I did leave virtualization checked on the screen wiht that as a choice.

    Thanks in advance.
