Enterprise Security Client Software need a GUI to work correctly?

We are looking at using PKI certs for all of our RHEL VMs.

I'm reading thru the docs on Enterprise Security Client and not sure if the GUI needs to be installed for this to work or not.

If so, I will have to go back and install the GUI on a number of our servers.
