Not responding when ActiveMQ-Blueprint DSL template as new project is selected

Red Hat Developer Studio 12.0.0.GA (2) stops reponding after selecting ActiveMQ-Blueprint DSL template as new Camel integration project.
Have disabled auto project build, suspended validators, restarted workspace and machine but with no luck.
If the studio process is killed, it wouldn't relaunch with the same workspace as it gets hung at loading ui plugin.
Very unpleasant initial roadblocks.
Additionally, whenever a blueprint file is clicked, studio takes ages to respond.
