  • RHV-H: Keep customized NTP servers across image-based updates

    Posted on

    Hi there

I've installed RHVH 4.1 image on a host and configured the NTP servers in anaconda. The "culprit" being that in my case no public NTP servers are available since Port 123 is blocked by a firewall out of my reach.

I've configured the time servers given by the network administrators and they were used after afterwards,

It looks like chrony instead of ntpd is being used. However after updating to the RHV-H 4.2.3 image I can clearly see the commend int chrony's config file that it has been overwritten by the image update process.

How can I make certain NTP server are being kept across updates in that case?
(It looks like it's not an option that can be managed by RHV-M)
