Simple Scan, Brother printer and RHEL 7.5 doesn't work.

Simple Scan had worked fine with my Brother printer under RHEL 7.3. But I can't get the scanner to work remotely since I've upgraded to RHEL 7.5, When I hit the "Scan" button my laptop camera comes on and takes a photo. Can't figure it out.
