Gnome Login & Lock Screen Text

Hello;

I am running RedHat 7.4 with Gnome Desktop 3.22.2. I would like to add a text banner to both the Login and Lock screens. Specifically, I want to show the text found in /etc/hostname on both screens.

I found a RedHat KB article on how to modify the Login Screen and add a text line, however it states the text cannot be read from another file. Does anybody know if and how this can be achieved?
