gnome-session not using window manager.

I am trying to display the GNOME Desktop on my Windows laptop, I get to display the Filebrowser and other utilities but windows fails to identify the remote desktop as another window, it works fine on my RHEL5 (eek) and RHEL6 servers not in RHEL 7.4
