  • RHEL 7.4 I disabled framebuffer but module is loaded.

    Posted on

    Hello,

On RHEL 7.4 I disabled the framebuffer with the kernel parameter "nomodeset" I do not need graphics on a server , but the kernel "drm" module is loaded.

To disable the module load I created the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf with these 2 lines and run a "dracut -f".

    install drm /bin/false
    blacklist drm

Is there another or a good way to disable the framebuffer and the module load ?

    Best regards.
