  • repository for RHELv7, only with recent updates

    Posted on

    Hello.
I want to create a update repository for offline clients.
I suppose to have one repository with ISO packages of a particular RHEL update (i.e RHE7 Update 3) and one repository with updates.
I'd like to use reposync command. I'm expecting only the newest RPM packages will be stored initially in this repository.

The system has been registered and attached to the subscription:
"30 Day Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Self-Supported Evaluation"
When I start the reposync command many versions of every package starts downloading to the repository which starts becoming huge. (more than 16k rpms)

Is a way how to download in the first run only recent version of packages? ( The next reposync runs can download new versions of the initial packages, of course).
If I look at Centos download site structure, there is update folder with last 3 package verisons only.

Am I use right subscription for my task? There are many subscriptions (42) which I can attach to.

    Thanks for your answer
    Regards
    Lumir
