  • Active Directory join using realm failing after RHEL 7.4 upgrade

    Posted on

Hoping to find someone else with a similar issue. I have found that after an inline upgrade from RHEL 7.3 -> RHEL 7.4, that the realm join command is failing with the following error:

realmd: /usr/bin/net: relocation error: /usr/lib64/samba/libgse-samba4.so: symbol krb5_get_init_creds_opt_set_pac_request, version krb5_3_MIT not defined in file libkrb5.so.3 with link time reference
realmd: ! Joining the domain pixeldrift.local failed

This is also leaving the kerberos config in a strange state where it responds that it is joined to the domain.

I have found the following bugzilla with similar symptoms (error message) and it looks related to a missing dep requirement.

    https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1459296

Posting this to see if anyone else has come across this post 7.4 update?
