  • Best way to write/read to a Red Hat Ceph Storage

    Posted on

    Hi there,

I'm currently working with a Ceph storage. So far I've used it through the S3 interface, but now I need to locally mount it as a directory in my filesystem (CentOS 7) and I was wondering what is the most reliable way.

I know some alternatives exist, I tried s3fs-fuse, I also want to try YAS3FS and the official mount way (both kernel and user space) and I'm open to further alternatives. What is crucial for me:

    1) possibility to reliably write and read big files to/from the storage (sometimes those files can be more than 200 GB each).
    2) possibility to mount and use it at the same moment from different computers
    3) speed in reading / writing

Which product do you recommend me to use?

    Thanks in advance
