  • How to set the controller to advertise the MTU to 1500 for Tenant VM Networks in RH OSP 10

    Posted on

    Hi Support,

I have an Redhat Openstack 10 Platform installed with 3 Controllers, 4 Computes & no Ceph Storage. I could see the tenant VM networks are getting the default MTU 1496 whenever creating the network. For the VNF's i need the VM networks should gets the 1500 MTU by default but it is not happening. Could you please tell me what is the procedure to change the MTU to 1500 once the overcloud is deployed so that my all VM networks will be provisioned with the MTU 1500 by default. I could see in the neutron.conf file there are params like "advertise_mtu = true" is commented & "global_physnet_mtu=1500" is enabled. Could you please check if i am pointing to the correct params which are relevant for the Tenant VM networks or any other params also needs to be checked.

    Thanks in advance!
