rhel 7 workstation to rhel 7 desktop downgrade

I have rhel 7 workstation installed without a subscription any way to install rhel 7 desktop and downgrade without starting over with a fresh install? I bought a rhel 7 desktop subscription for $49 it's all I really need they want $299 a year to get software updates on the rhel 7 workstation. Any help would be appreciated.
