Infrastructure Capacity Planning

Hello,
Wondering if anyone has done a level of infrastructure capacity planning with Satellite. I've haven't had much luck using the built-in Trends to look at Compute Resources, CPU, Memory, Storage usage and growth trends. What I have in mind is showing the combined resources of all Satellite clients and building some trend/growth analysis based on that data. What I seem to get is how many systems have 2, 4, 8 CPUs, how many systems have X gigs of memory and the Compute Resource trend simply shows how many physical hosts are in a cluster. I was hoping Satellite could provide a bit more insight in to the compute resource (how much total CPU, total memory and how much is available for use). The documentation and knowledge base articles don't have a lot of information for tweaking the Trends functionality.

Has anyone done something like this with Satellite?
