Secondary Kerberos Realm on Redhat Idm client

Hi

We have Redhat Idm as ldap server and our servers use redhat idm for user authentication. We have a specific application that needs seperate kerberos server for authentication. We did kerberos config in /etc/krb5.conf file and our Kerberos realm works fine and we can connect to that server using sssd.
Is it right way to do this? How sssd knows which kerberos realm that sssd has to use? If I remove ipa-client, do I lost my all kerberos configuration. Thanks from now for your answers.
