Problem with yum update

There seem to be a lot of updates to RHEL lately - I'm getting 20 or more e-mails per day with update notices. However, when I try to update my machine, I get the following errors:

Transaction check error:
file /usr/bin from install of filesystem-3.2-21.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package openmpi-1.4.5-2.x86_64
file /usr/lib64 from install of filesystem-3.2-21.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package openmpi-1.4.5-2.x86_64

Now, I have to use this version of openmpi due to the particular software I'm running only supporting this version.

How can I get my system to update without destroying my openmpi installation?
