  • Where is the python interpreter for Libreoffice?

    Posted on

    Hi,

I installed Libre Office packages from the optional repository.

I can't find the Libreoffice compatible python interpreter in Redhat packages.

This is where the python binary is installed when you install libobasis5.2-pyuno from libreoffice.org RPMS:

    # rpm -ql libobasis5.2-pyuno-5.2.0.4-4.x86_64 | grep python$
    /opt/libreoffice5.2/program/python
    /opt/libreoffice5.2/share/Scripts/python

    # /opt/libreoffice5.2/program/python
    Python 3.5.0 (default, Jul 29 2016, 15:47:40)
[GCC 4.8.2 20140120 (Red Hat 4.8.2-15)] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
    >>>

I can't find it in the packages in the optional repository:

    # yum whatprovides */program/python --enablerepo=*opt*
    Loaded plugins: package_upload, product-id, search-disabled-repos, subscription-manager
    No matches found

    Thanks,
    Sébastien
