  • Server does not see ICMP Echo Replies (ping does not work).

    RHEL 7.2

    When I perform a ping and specify the subnet (corresponding to a VLAN) I want to ping from the network seems to work but I see nothing on the ssh session. It pretends it can't see the echo replies.

    [root@server01 ~]# ping 10.0.0.10 -I 10.4.1.100
    PING 10.0.0.10 (10.0.0.10) from 10.4.1.100 : 56(84) bytes of data.
    

    But if I do a tcpdump I see the echo replies coming in->

    The server01 is configured with a bond (seanbond) that carries 6 VLANs (sub-interfaces).

    Is there some other setting that would keep default 7.2 from responding to ping? Whats really weird is if I ping on the default subnet (still tagged) this works fine->
