  • dbus-daemon LVM config in systemd journal

    Posted on

I'm not sure why dbus-daemon would need permissions to LVM devices, unless it has to do with

    udisks2
or some other tool pertaining to automount of devices; though, it could be related to
    rhsm
(Red Had Subscription Manager), if I'm not entirely mistaken. Nevertheless, I see the following messages in the journal, which seems to be only mentioned in an older bug for older RHEL version (6.0):

    dbus-daemon[1197]: dbus[1197]: [system] Successfully activated service 'com.redhat.SubscriptionManager'
dbus-daemon[1197]: /etc/lvm/lvm.conf: stat failed: Permission denied

Does anyone have any useful information for this? I'm not sure that a Support Case is necessary, as it doesn't seem to be affecting my systems negatively.
