I have just installed RHEL 7.0 through VMware (ESXi 5.5 VM version 10)

Whenever I do anything in a gnome session I see a gnome-shell process using masses of CPU.

From reading around it seems that this is because the server is using software rendering.

    glxinfo shows the following

    direct rendering: Yes
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.3, 128 bits)

    GL_NV_conditional_render, GL_NV_fog_distance, GL_NV_light_max_exponent,

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

    Thanks,
    Colin
