Can't install Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 6.6
Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help me out but I am trying to install RHELW 6.6 on a computer with a brand new hard drive, not formated yet and no partitions. I followed the instructions on how to create a bootable USB drive using the DVD.iso file from the downloads page. I created the bootable USB drive in Windows 7 using Fedora LiveUSB Creator and verified that the process had completed (took about 16 min and the DVD iso was about 4.5GB). When I opened the flash drive I could see all of the directories created like /boot, etc.
I took the flash drive out of my Windows machine and plugged it into the new computer I want to install Linux on. I made sure to configure the boot sequence in the BIOS to make sure it picks up the drive. After I turn on the power, I get the BIOS display that shows for a few seconds followed by a message stating that it is attempting to boot from the flash drive. After a few seconds it goes into the GRUB menu and is just stuck on the menu waiting for me to enter a command at the grub> prompt. I thought that it was supposed to boot automatically into the installer but I'm not familiar with GRUB and not sure of the commands.
Just to double check, I went into the flash drive again, especially the /boot folder and all I see is a file called OLPC. As I looked at the output from LiveUSB Creator, I noticed that the last 3 lines were:
-Setting up OLPC boot file...
-Installing bootloader...
-Complete!
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or if I missed a step.
Thanks
