  • Polkit in runlevel 3

    Hi,
I created a pkla file that controls whether a user is prompted for their own or roots password when using the gui to install software such as you might on a desktop.
I am able to install software without any authentication prompts when using the gui but when trying to install in runlevel 3/cli to install the same package I am told I can’t install “You need to be root to perform this command."
I know I can use sudo to achieve what I want but I decided to investigate polkit. The reason to not use sudo is specific to the environment I'm in. Can I only use polkit when using the gui ?
Is there any good how to's to help achieve this if I can ?
    Thanks,
