Partition table format

Would someone care to give us an example or two? https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Satellite/6.0/html-single/User_Guide/index.html#sect-Partition_Tables is one of the most useless pieces of "documentation" I have ever read.
