Hyper-V Host, RHEL VM - Unable to Register System

We bought a Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Virtual Datacenters subscription and I'm attempting to update my first virtual machine, which is under a Hyper-V host. I've run through this doc (https://access.redhat.com/solutions/253273) but the system shows as unsubscribed.
