  • Mondo Rescue for RHEL 6

    Posted on

Mondo Rescue works for RHEL 5. We are able to restore the OS image. But with RHEL 6, it does not restore the image.

I am trying to restore a RedHat6.x image created by mondorescue(3.0.1). During PXE network boot, I got following error:

    List of all partitions:

No filesystem could mount root, tried: iso9660
kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0)
Pid: 1, comm: swapper Not tainted 2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64 #1
    Call Trace:

    I basically followed README.pxe.

    It works fine with RedHat5.

The OS is on a virtual machine. I also tried latest mondorescue(3.0.4), and no luck.

Does it work for you? What versions?

    Thank you
    Victor
