  • Redhat 7 - Custom Anaconda script?

    Posted on

My Apologies if this has been asked before I have no seen it in relation to RHEL 7.

Under RHEL 5.x and 6.x I used to be able to take the install.img file, expand it by using unsquashfs and customize the anaconda script. The purpose this played was to get a pre installation inventory of systems hardware such as determining network interfaces, memory, harddisks ect then store that information in a database. This is done without actually installing the OS.

    So I have two questions.

    1) There no longer is an install.img file.

    2) What file is the replacement for anaconda file I used to edit?
