rhel7: luit does not handle EUCJP encoding correctly

Issue

  • I have a UTF-8 terminal, but using eucjp encoding is not possible. I call luit but just see mojibake/mixed chars instead of the characters I expect.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7
  • luit (part of xorg-x11-apps)
