An update for microcode_ctl is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.
Description
The microcode_ctl packages provide microcode updates for Intel processors.
Bug Fix(es) and Enhancement(s):
- Update Intel CPU microcode to microcode-20230808 release, which addresses CVE-2022-40982, CVE-2022-41804, and CVE-2023-23908. (BZ#2229728)
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
