Topic

Updated rhvm-setup-plugins packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.

Description

The rhvm-setup-plugins package adds functionality exclusive only to Red Hat Virtualization Manager, and is not available for the upstream ovirt-engine. It includes the configuration of the Red Hat Support plugin, copying downstream-only artifacts to the ISO domain, and links to the
knowledgebase and other support material.

Changes to the rhvm-setup-plugins component:

  • Changed rhevm-setup-plugins name From 'rhevm' to 'rhvm'.
  • Resolved an issue where the guest agent check function was checking for the wrong agent name. The engine will no longer report an error for unknown guest agent. (BZ#1460863)
  • Added an update check for rhevm-setup-plugins package at the beginning of ovirt-engine installation. (BZ#1532279)
  • The engine now correctly identifies toolsSetup ISO files with both the old and new naming conventions (RHEV-toolsSetup.iso and RHEV-toolsSetup.iso) and tries to use the latest first. (BZ#1552194)
  • Skylake Server CPU family is now supported by Red Hat Virtualization.

Note: The previous "Skylake" family has been renamed to "Skylake Client" to differentiate. (BZ#1537032)

  • The EnableKASLRDump VDC option is now enabled in RHV by default. This option allows core dumps of KASLR-enabled kernels for cluster level >= 4.2. (BZ#1568736)
  • Renamed rhevm-setup-plugins to rhv-setup-plugins to match product name. (BZ#1405603)
