标题

Updated mod_auth_mellon packages that add two enhancements are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

描述

The mod_auth_mellon module for the Apache HTTP Server is an authentication service that implements the SAML 2.0 federation protocol. The module grants access based on the attributes received in assertions generated by an IdP server.

This update adds the following enhancements:

  • This update adds diagnostic logging to the mod_auth_mellon module, which makes it possible to easily collect all SAML configuration data and SAML protocol messages in a single file to help troubleshooting mod_auth_mellon deployment problems. (BZ#1553854)
  • The MellonSignatureMethod option has been added to mod_auth_mellon, which enables users to configure the signature method that the module uses to sign SAML messages. Currently supported algorithms include RSA-SHA256, RSA-SHA384, and RSA-SHA512. (BZ#1564573)

Users of mod_auth_mellon are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which add these enhancements.
