RHEA-2017:2880 - Product Enhancement Advisory
Synopsis
rhgs-s3-server-container bug fix and enhancement update
Type/Severity
Product Enhancement Advisory
Topic
New rhgs-s3-server-container packages are now available for Container-Native Storage 3.6.
Description
The new Red Hat Gluster S3 Server container image provides S3 storage
backed by Gluster volume on top of Container Native Storage/Container Ready Storage.
With this addition of S3 Server, OpenShift Applications can use object storage directly from the CNS platform, in addition to using Persistent Volume framework provided by Kubernetes. Application or OpenShift services can use the standard S3 APIs to access the S3 storage service hosted by CNS. (BZ#1452529)
The Red Hat Gluster Storage 3 container image provided by this update can be downloaded from the Red Hat Container Registry at registry.access.redhat.com and can also be deployed using cns-deploy tool.
