Container-Native Storage 3.6 that adds various enhancements is now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.3 and OpenShift Container Platform 3.6

Description

The Container-Native Storage solution provides persistent storage service for OpenShift Containers and OpenShift Infrastructure services. It can be deployed on OpenShift cluster eliminating the need for an external storage cluster or an appliance. Optionally, it can be deployed as stand-alone in a Container Ready Storage Mode. This solution is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 and Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.3.

This advisory adds the following enhancements:

• This feature enables the use of dynamically provisioned gluster block volumes as a persistent data store for Openshift logging and metrics infra pods.(BZ#1449044)
• With this update, support for non-shared persistent storage access has been introduced to extend the heketi feature to dynamically provision and handles RWO workload and cloud-native on gluster block.(BZ#1449621)
• With this release, auto_unmount option is introduced and enabled for gluster mounts in Openshift to ensure that the filesystem is unmounted when a FUSE server is down. When enabled, this option ensures that the filesystem is unmounted by running a separate monitor process. (BZ#1480125)

All users of Container-Native Storage are advised to upgrade to this latest release of Container-Native Storage 3.6.
