An updated Windows Azure Linux Agent package is now available in the Extras channel of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
The Windows Azure Linux Agent supports the provisioning and running of Linux virtual machines in the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud.
The WALinuxAgent packages have been upgraded to upstream version 2.2.10, which provides a number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous version. (BZ#1443425)
This update also fixes this bug:
- Previously, the error code for a non-existing disk and for a disk already mounted was the same. This caused trying to use a non-existing disk. With this update, the error codes are different, and the system no longer tries to use a non-existing disk. (BZ#1428656)
This update also adds this enhancement:
- Previously, the AutoUpdate feature was disabled by default. However, this feature has been significantly improved, and is now enabled by default. (BZ#1434933)
All users who require the Windows Azure Linux Agent are advised to install this updated package. This package should be installed on Linux disk images that are built to run in the Windows Azure environment.
