Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated gluster-swift packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.1 Update 3.
Description
gluster-swift provides object interface in Red Hat Gluster Storage. It allows GlusterFS volumes to be exported over object interface using the HTTP protocol and Openstack Swift API. Objects are stored and accessible as files. Containers are maintained as top-level directories of volumes. Each Swift account is mapped to a GlusterFS volume.
The notable changes in this update are:
- Object expiration has been made more efficient which in effect reduces
the chances of object expiration daemon timing out.
- Many redundant syscalls and network calls have been eliminated.
All users of Red Hat Gluster Storage with gluster-swift are advised to
upgrade to this updated package.
