Updated Samba packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are
now available.

Description

Samba is an implementation of the server message block (SMB) protocol. It allows the networking of Microsoft Windows®, Linux, UNIX, and other operating systems together, enabling access to Windows-based file and printer shares. Samba's use of SMB allows it to appear as a Windows server to Windows clients.

This advisory introduces better security through more ciphers for signing and SMB 3 protocol encryption. It also includes, multi-credit and offload copying for better performance. The client tools now support SMB versions 2 and 3.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
