rhev-guest-tools-iso bug fix and enhancement update

Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated Windows Guest Tools packages that fix several bugs and add various
enhancements are now available.
Description
Changes to the Windows Guest Tools component:
- Previously, application locations stored in the Windows registry were
different for 32-bit and 64- bit systems. In some cases, the QEMU guest agent
was not reported by the RHEV-M guest agent as an installed application. This
version of the RHEV-M guest agent now includes both locations and reports all
applications to the RHEV-M user interface. (BZ#1105056)
- With this feature, a new command line option "ISNOREBOOT" was added to guest
tools. When the option is used as part of a silent install (together with
"ISSILENTMODE"), it disables the reboot of the machine at the end of the
installation, allowing additional steps to be performed prior to rebooting the
machine. (BZ#1025822)
- With this feature, support is provided for Windows Guest Tools for Windows
Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 virtual machines. This feature is also backported
to Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.4. (BZ#1099697)
- Previously, Windows Server 2012 R2 was unsupported in Red Hat Enterprise
Virtualization 3.3, so no guest tools can be installed for Windows Server 2012
R2 using the RHEV 3.3 installer. With this update, support for Windows Server
2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 has been added and is now supported in Red Hat
Enterprise Virtualization 3.4 and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.5.
(BZ#1076220)
- After an upgrade, single sign-on wasn't appearing in the list of installed
components, but listed in the Change/Modify list of Windows Guest Tools. Even
though the functionality wasn't affected, it was confusing for users. With this
update, the installed state of the single sign-on component is shown as
expected. (BZ#1133866)
- Previously, on 64-bit systems, Spice components were appearing as unselected
in the Change/Modify list even though they were installed. With this update, the
installed components are shown as expected. (BZ#1134250)
- With this enhancement, the RHEV Agent rhev-agent.ini file is no longer
replaced each time a new version of the agent is installed. New configuration
files were introduced to contain the system configuration, and so the
rhev-agent.ini configuration file is now intended to contain user local
configuration overrides. Note that users should be aware that as a consequence a
broken configuration will remain even after upgrading or removing and then
re-installing a software. (BZ#1115526)
