Topic
OpenStack Dashboard packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 5.0
(Icehouse) for RHEL 6 are now available.
Description
Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for building
a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud running on commonly
available physical hardware. This advisory includes the following package:
- OpenStack Dashboard service (Horizon).
OpenStack Dashboard (horizon) is a Django application that provides
administrators and users a graphical interface to access, provision and automate
cloud-based resources. The dashboard allows cloud administrators to get an
overall view of the size and state of the cloud and it provides end-users a
self-service portal to provision their own resources within the limits set by
administrators.
With this release, python-django-horizon is now rebased to upstream version
2014.1.1. This version includes several important bug fixes, including:
- A bug that prevented access to the swift pseudo-folders through the dashboard
is now fixed.
- A bug that prevented instances from being launched when using the French
locale (or locales using apostrophes) is now fixed.
These packages also fix various bugs found in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux
OpenStack Platform 4 release.
