New compat-sap-c++ packages are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The compat-sap-c++ packages carry runtime compatibility libraries needed
for the SAP HANA system. It contains the libstdc++ shared library, named
sap-compat-c++.so.

This enhancement update adds the compat-sap-c++ packages to Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 6. (BZ#1073477)

This update also fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the standard uncaught_exception() function returned the true value

even at the time when initialization of the exception object was not complete.
As a consequence, GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) could generate wrong code. With
this update, uncaught_exception() returns the true value only after the
exception object is created, and GCC generates correct code. (BZ#1083235)

All users who require compat-sap-c++ are advised to install these new packages.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
