Topic

New and updated OpenStack packages that add various enhancements are now
available for Red Hat OpenStack Folsom.

Description

The OpenStack packages provide OpenStack Compute (code name Nova) a cloud
computing fabric controller, OpenStack Image Service (code-named Glance)
provides discovery, registration, and delivery services for virtual disk images,
OpenStack Identity Service (code-name Keystone), OpenStack Virtual Network
Service (code-named Quantum), OpenStack Object Storage (code-named Swift) and
Openstack Dashboard, a web user interface for OpenStack.

The openstack-packstack packages provide the packstack utility that uses puppet
modules to install openstack. Packstack can be used to deploy various parts of
openstack on multiple pre-installed servers over ssh. It does this be using
puppet manifests to apply Puppet Labs modules (https://github.com/puppetlabs/).

The yum-plugin-priorities package provides Yum package manager plugin which
allows repositories to have different priorities.

KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a full virtualization solution for Linux
on AMD64 and Intel 64 systems. The qemu-kvm-rhev package provides the user-space
component for running virtual machines using KVM, in environments managed by Red
Hat OpenStack.

The openstack-glance, openstack-quantum and openstack-packstack packages have
been updated. New yum-plugin-priorities and qemu-kvm-rhev packages are now
available for Red Hat OpenStack.

All users of Red Hat OpenStack are advised to install to these new and updated
packages.
