Topic

Updated spacewalk-java packages that fix two bugs and add several enhancements
are now available for Red Hat Network Satellite 5.4.

Description

Red Hat Network Satellite provides a solution to organizations requiring
absolute control over and privacy of the maintenance and package deployment of
their servers.

Bug fixes:

  • Previously, the API documentation was not distributed as pre-compiled

JavaServer Pages (JSP); Tomcat compiled these pages on demand and stored them in
the cache. Consequent to this, users were unable to see any updates to the API
documentation, because Tomcat kept serving the old content from the cache. The
documentation is now served in a pre-compiled form. (BZ#752802)

  • The API documentation has been updated to provide a complete list of

parameters for the activationkey.setDetails API call. (BZ#669167)

Enhancements:

  • A new system.getScriptActionDetails API call has been added. This API call

returns the action script contents for script run actions. (BZ#610157)

  • A new "updated" attribute is now supported by the system.listNotes API call.

This attribute stores the date a particular note was last modified. (BZ#610784)

  • A new channel.software.setDetails API call has been added. This API call

modifies attributes of a selected channel. (BZ#662200)

  • New API calls have been added: system.provisioning.snapshot.addTagToSnapshot

adds a tag to a snapshot, system.tagLatestSnapshot tags the latest system
snapshot, and system.deleteTagFromSnapshot deletes a tag from a system snapshot.
(BZ#680489)

  • New API calls have been added: channel.software.associateRepo,

channel.software.createRepo, channel.software.disassociateRepo,
channel.software.getRepoDetails, channel.software.getRepoSyncCronExpression,
channel.software.listChannelRepos, channel.software.listUserRepos,
channel.software.removeRepo, channel.software.syncRepo and
channel.software.updateRepoUrl. (BZ#682845)

  • A new "clone_original" attribute is now supported by the

channel.software.getDetails API call. This attribute stores information about
the channel from which a selected channel was cloned. (BZ#694393)

  • A new kickstart.keys.update API call has been added. This API call updates the

type and contents of a cryptographic key identified by its description.
(BZ#699489)

  • New API calls have been added: configchannel.deleteFileRevisions deletes

selected revisions of a specified configuration file,
configchannel.getFileRevisions returns a list of revisions for a selected
configuration file, and configchannel.getFileRevision returns the revision of a
selected configuration file. (BZ#699497)

  • New API calls have been added: channel.software.setUserManagable sets the

manageable flag for a given channel and user, and
channel.software.isUserManagable determines whether a channel can be managed by
a particular user. (BZ#699505)

  • A new "use_pam" attribute is now supported by the user.getDetails API call.

This attribute stores information about whether PAM authentication is enabled
for a given user. (BZ#699523)

  • A new system.custominfo.updateKey API call has been added. This API call

updates the description of a custom info key. (BZ#699527)

  • The templating flag for kickstart scripts is now also accessible for the

kickstart.profile.addScript and kickstart.profile.listScripts API calls.
(BZ#723528)

  • The activationkey.setDetails API call can now enable or disable activation

keys. (BZ#725050)

  • New API calls have been added: kickstart.disableProfile enables or disables a

kickstart profile, and kickstart.isProfileDisabled determines whether a
kickstart profile is disabled. (BZ#725059)

  • A new system.deleteGuestProfiles API call has been added. This API call

deletes a selected list of virtual guest profiles for a given host. (BZ#732091)

  • When encoding passwords in a kickstart profile, it was not possible to use a

hash algorithm other than MD5. Passwords can now be encoded using all algorithms
supported by Anaconda, including SHA-256 and SHA-512. (BZ#729784)

Users of RHN Satellite should upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these
bugs and add these enhancements.
