New bind97 packages that provide BIND version 9.7.0 are now available for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND) is an implementation of the Domain Name
System (DNS) protocols. BIND includes a Domain Name System (DNS) server (named),
a resolver library (routines for applications to use when interfacing with DNS),
and tools for verifying that the DNS server is operating correctly.

This update adds the following new feature:

• These new bind97 packages support the new Domain Name System Security

Extensions (DNSSEC), algorithms (NSEC3, RSA-SHA2), and HMAC-SHA2 TSIGs
(Transaction SIGnatures). (BZ#570611)

This update also allows for improved scalability on multiprocessor systems.

All users who require BIND 9.7.0 are advised to install these new packages,
which add this new feature.

relevant to your system have been applied.
